Fernando Torres slotted the Reds in front at Wolverhampton Wanderers with a simple finish after being set up by Raul Meireles on 36 minutes.
Meireles himself added the second five minutes after the break with a stunning strike. Daniel Agger's long punt forward was only partially headed clear by Christophe Berra, under pressure from Dirk Kuyt, and Meireles lashed a brilliant dipping 25-yard volley inside Wayne Hennessey's left-hand post.
Torres wrapped up the victory with another close-range tap-in in stoppage-time following a break by Kuyt. For an in-depth match report, click here.
